About Irma

About

I’m Irma, a Mexican illustrator and painter based in Munich. I make bold, colourful, hand-drawn illustrations — portraits, food and everyday stuff — for websites, brands and editorial. I like calling my style chick-punk, mixing traditional tools with digital ones and taking inspiration from classic art, graphic design and graffiti.

How I work.

Before Illustration became my focus, I spent 5+ years in Ux/Ui design, Marketing and project management. My drawings may be whimsical, but my process is very real: I start with your goals and your audience/client in mind; I make sketches that fit your story; I add the human sparkle with hand-drawn illustration that's delivered on time.

Where I started.

In 2017, I founded Damn Stuff, a screen-printed streetwear and sticker brand for the BMX and Skate community (that’s where “Larva” comes from, a nickname that stuck). This project grew into events, workshops, and eventually clients: brand identities, murals, and website illustration.

Off the clock, I run on coffee, longboard rides and too many movie nights. I also paint a new piece every week. See them at damnstuff.com.

Clients include

Sabine Bohlmann, Nicole Mohrmann, Goodelia, Ameeba Films, Jast Media, Collage Café.

”An excellent person, colleague, and entrepreneur. What I admire most about her is her forward-thinking approach; she has great vision and contributes ideas before she's even asked, incorporating elements of art, communication, and management. She creates an excellent work environment because of her passion for her work and her dedication to achieving company goals.”
